Skanska signs contract regarding expansion of Electrolux’s head office in Stockholm for approximately SEK 500M

The project comprises approximately 9,000 square meters of office space, a fitness and pool facility and a restaurant spread over ten floors. The project also includes the construction of a courtyard on the low-rise part of the existing office property as well as solar cells on the roof and facade. Within the framework of the expansion, Skanska will also prepare for a planned housing project with 114 condominium apartments on top of one part of the office building.
The project has a high environmental profile. It will be certified according to BREEAM, level “Outstanding” and the Swedish Green Building Council’s new certification standard ZeroCO2. ZeroCO2 provides a framework for climate-neutral construction and requires that the building’s greenhouse gas emissions are reduced. It sets limit values for greenhouse gas emissions from the building component production, for the construction processes and indirectly sets a limit for the building's energy use.
Both offices and future homes will be built mainly in wood with a certain brick element that will to a large extent be recycled.
The project is set to start in the first quarter of 2022 and the project will be completed during the summer of 2024.
