Skanska completes work at Skogome prison in Gothenburg, Sweden, for about SEK 300M

Skanska has signed an agreement with Specialfastigheter to complete three new buildings and groundworks at the Skogome prison in Gothenburg, Sweden. The project was awarded after the previous contractor went bankrupt. The contract is worth about SEK 300M, which will be included in the order bookings for Sweden in the second quarter of 2025.

Skanska has been working for some time on preparations for the construction project, which will now begin immediately. In total, the new buildings comprise approximately 12,000 square meters of gross floor area and the intention is that they will be ready for use by the summer of 2026.
